the JSPyieldreached1.007mg/g.Papain(15U/mL)incombinationwithSevagreagentwasbeneficial
in removingproteinsfromJSP.Afterprecipitationwithethanolatfinalconcentrationof40%,60%and
80% inturn,threepolysaccharidefractionsofJSP1,JSP2andJSP3wereobtainedfromJSP,respectively.
The threefractionsexhibiteddifferentphysicochemicalpropertieswithrespecttomolecularweight
distribution, monosaccharidecomposition,infraredabsorptionspectra,andglycosylbondcomposition.
In addition,JSP3showedstronginhibitoryeffectsonoxidizedlow-densitylipoprotein(oxLDL)induced
conversion ofmacrophagesintofoamcells,whichpossiblyattributedtothedown-regulationofsome
atherogenesis-related geneexpressions.
