Thailand is located on Indochina peninsula in Southeast Asia . It connects both sides of the ocean, including the Gulf of Thailand and South China Sea, which is part of the Pacific Ocean. In addition, the Andaman Sea is part of the Indian Ocean. The variability of oceanography in the Pacific and Indian Ocean would influence, both directly and indirectly to the variance of the climate in Thailand. In particular, the variability of rainfall over Thailand is also influenced by ENSO. It is characterized as an anomalous sea surface temperature (SST) the Nino3.4 region in the Pacific Ocean.
