Sam nodded, puking until his stomach was completely empty. Washing his mouth out with the warm coffee, he took to drinking it only in very small sips, which his stomach seemed to be okay with. His back was really hurting by the point, the pain coming in waves. He decided to sit in a deep crouch instead, hunched over so his belly was resting on the concrete between his legs. It helped a little.
"Four hours left!" Someone called out. A small cheer from those who were awake. He smiled, this was the nicest launch date line he'd ever been in. The Black Friday line a couple years back was the most brutal, terrible weather and a sour crowd. He got one game and only at a slightly lower price, to boot. He noticed #4 sit next to him.
"Are you okay, dude? You really don't look that good."
He shook his head, "I'm fine." The pain had worsened, radiating from his back to his belly and back. "I think I need to use the restroom."
The guy nodded, "I'll hold your spot."
Shakily, he got to his feet and slowly walked in the direction of the Starbucks. It felt like a century and the pain only worsened, but he managed to get into the restroom in time to pee. At least, he assumed he was peeing. He felt a release of pressure and liquid dribbled out of his anus, which wasn't that surprising considering he'd spent the previous day almost entirely on the toilet. There wasn't much left in his colon by this point. Figuring nothing more was going to happen (having decreased the pain none at all), he left. He got in line again just as someone called the three hour mark.
"Feeling better?" #4 asked.
"Yeah," he lied. He squatted again, his ankles complaining loudly against standing. For a moment, he noticed a peculiar tingling between his anus and balls, but it faded quickly, so he thought nothing of it. The pain increased over the next hour in waves that were slowly closing in on each other. It got so bad, that when the two hour mark was called, his belly seemed to physically harden with each wave of pain. The line was more energetic now, everyone awake and chatting about what they were going to do when they each got their shiny new Xbox.
To take his mind off the pain, he got on his knees and peered into the store between the window posters. He could just barely make out a light on behind the employee door and shadows of at least one person moving around. He remembered last night when a small white delivery truck had arrived, unloading large, unmarked cardboard boxes. Of course they all knew what the man was delivering, but they said nothing. Attacking the guy would've only lead to jail time without a Xbox. He turned his mind back to the room and swore he saw the knob turn for an instant. No, it was an illusion.
So entranced was he, that he almost didn't feel the pain anymore. At least, not until a particularly strong wave hit him, and he had to physically bit his tongue to keep from crying out. But it was worth it. The door opened a crack at first, then all the way, flooding the darkened store in orange light that seemed to mimic the same glow the sky had as the sun rose. A young woman in shop uniform carried in a large unmarked box. Slicing it open, she gingerly pulled the first Xbox 720 box out and began stacking them majestically behind the counter. It was beautiful. He wasn't the only one salivating over this — once that door had opened, most of the line had taken to watching her unbox the systems. This attention didn't go unnoticed.
"Hey!" she called at them, giving the line of onlookers a dark look. Tapping her watch, she grabbed the empty shipping box and returned to the back room, shutting the door behind her.
"One hour!" someone shouted. A more enthusiastic cheer.
He grit his teeth. He couldn't distract himself from the pain anymore. His belly was a hardened ball of molten pain. He felt pressure building in belly and maybe also his anus. Really, it was getting hard to tell. He stayed on his knees, afraid to move, keeping his eyes transfixed on the back room door. The gravity of his situation finally struck him.
Oh, God. What's wrong with me? He shouldn't be in pain like this, not unless something was horribly, horribly wrong. The pressure pressing against his loins from the inside worsened with each wave of pain, but it was getting hard to tell the waves apart. Maybe not everything hadn't come out of him the other day. Maybe it was clearing the way for something else.
He tasted blood, having accidentally bit into his tongue. No! He had come this far. Whatever was wrong with him, it could wait until after he got his Xbox. Someone called the half-hour mark. Another employee, a man this time, brought out a second box and began stacking the glorious systems with the others behind the counter. Someone had been counting and mentioned that there were only enough for the first 20 in line. Those further back prayed that another box or two would come through that door. Not every box they saw delivered would end up on the sales floor. Many of them were already set aside for pre-orders.
The pressure intensified, and he found himself clenching his butt shut. With 15 minutes left, he could hold it.
"Are you sure you're okay?" #4 asked, noticing he hadn't gotten up or moved in a while.
"They're just… so beautiful," he said. Not a lie, just a dodge. #4 didn't push the matter further.
10 minutes left! He felt a very strong urge to push whatever was inside out. He grit his teeth and ignored it as best he could. All he felt was pain and agonizing pressure bellow. Stars swam in front of his eyes, and he had to take several deep breaths to keep from passing out. He focused on his breathing, deep, steady breaths. Breathe out the pain. He felt a very definite round shape inside his colon, and a similar pressure a little more forward, having the distinct feeling of clutching a pair of very large softballs inside himself that squirmed about. 5 minutes! Again, the urge to push. He fought through it, but whatever was inside pushed against him with tremendous force, threatening to come out without his help. The crowd began counting down the last minute. He saw the back room door open and the young man step out as the young woman took the counter. The man approached the door. With great effort, he got to his feet, a little surprised he could stand at all.
Time was up. The man grabbed the turn lock.
"If all of you come rushing in at once, no one gets an Xbox! Only one customer in the store at a time!"
He opened the door. The crowd cheered as #1 sauntered into the store. Completing his transaction quickly, he held the box high for the crowd to see with a massive grin plastered on his face. The crowd whooped in victory.
Luckily, #4 was too focused on getting in to notice the pained expression on Sam's face. Again, the overwhelming need to push possessed him. The things inside slid down a little further and he felt his anus begin to stretch open ever so slightly. He had to choke back a cry. It was getting harder to hold it back as his defense weakened and gravity was only worsening the situation. Even so, focusing on his breathing, he managed a fake grin and focused on his excitement. A Xbox 720. Whoo! #4 finally entered the store, claiming his Xbox plus a game, choosing to pay with a card. It was declined. He tried again. Declined. Despite how nice #4 had been to him, he could have murdered the man right then. #4 tried a different card and it took. The man left the store victorious. Slowly, he entered the store. The girl behind the counter smiled.
"So you want an Xbox 360, right?" she teased.
He faked a laugh and she set one of the boxes on the counter.
"Alright, that's $253.17" He threw down a pair of hundreds, a fifty, and a five. Not bothering to wait for the change, he snagged the receipt before the cashier could make a move and darted (albeit slowly) from the store with his prize. He could feel the pressure building once again and knew he wouldn't have the strength to hold back this time.
"Sir! Your change!" He waved her off and left. Ignoring the cheering line, he made a beeline for his car, which was parked in one of the closest spots parallel to the store. Unlocking his door, he tossed the box into the passenger's seat and got, having barely enough time to shut the door before the need to push crashed into him once again. Reclining the seat all the way back, he got on his side and let go. He didn't care that he didn't have time to pull down his sweat pants or boxers, he just pushed with all his might, barely biting back a scream. The thing in his colon and in front of it moved in unison. Slowly, the colon thing forced open his anus and began to emerge while the other pushed against his scrotum where nothing should be. Rolling onto his massive belly and propping himself with his hands and knees, he spread his legs as far apart as he could manage, pushing when the need arose again. He buried his face into his seat and screamed. His anus stretched unnaturally wide around the girth of the round thing and popped it out, bulging out his tight sweat pants, though he could feel that most of the thing was still inside him, moving. His breaths were ragged now, calm breathing be damned. The strongest wave of pain yet hardened his belly into a ball of steel and he pushed, his anus stretching even wider than before to accommodate the thing coming out. His throat was sore, tears of agony soaking into the seat as he pressed his face against it to avoid being heard. With a final push, the thing slid out into his boxers. He took the brief moment of relief to breathe before reaching into his pants to grab the squirming creature. Rolling over to rest on his back, he examined the thing.
It gave a small cry as it began to breathe. It seemed to be a fully formed baby, except it was half the usual size and had claws instead of fingers and toes. The skin from its brow down its back to its butt was covered in black leathery plates that would probably harden as it got old
