Adsorption through agricultural products such as rice husk, sugarcane
bagasse, activated cassava peels, coconut shell, etc. has been
extensively studied and found useful and more economical than
the conventional treatment system for the removal of toxic metals
such as dyes/colour, chromium (Cr), mercury (Hq), copper(Cu), etc.
from aqueous solution (Owamah, 2014). Also, the use of microorganisms
such as algae, fungi and bacteria for contaminants removal
from wastewater has been extensively reported in literature.
