ll. Morphological structure of fungi
1. Molds or filamentous, of filaments fungi, are composed of a mass of branching, treadlike tubular filaments (hyphae) that elongate at their tips. Fungal filaments are known as hyphae and a mass of hyphae collectively make up the mycelium.
a. Septate hyphae are divided into individual walled off cells (septum), each containing a nucleus.
b. Aseptate hyphae (coenocytic) hyphae are hollow and multinucleate.
