Mr. Apisit said the details of these projects have been explained to all provincial governors by Prime Minister Chaun Leekphai.
The employment projects, he said, are mainly designed to boost the income of rural people and halt city-bound migration after the plantation season.
They are expected to produce better results this fiscal year because officials have become more experienced in supervising them, he said.
Asked about wage rate for the rural workers employed by the projects, Mr. Aphisit said the rate is fixed by each province depending on the cost of living in their localities.
