Physical factors considered in this study were precipitation parameters
which included accumulation, duration, average intensity and maximum
intensity. It was theorized that higher intensity storms would
correlate positively with increased erosion, as found in previous studies
(Archibold et al., 2003; Porto et al., 2014; Schnabel and Amelia, 1993;
Sirvent et al., 1997; Valentin et al., 2005), but instead we found that precipitation
accumulation and duration were more important.
