Like many people during the winter months, I like to take the edge off the chilly weather by indulging in a steaming hot, comforting drink. While I am quite the coffee fanatic, sometimes I just want to trade out the strong, heavy flavor of roasted beans for a lighter but equally delicious option: tea.
Before you scoff at the idea of drinking leaves in water, let me take a guess at your prior experiences with tea. It’s the stuff your mom or grandmother serves you from time to time when you’re sick, an undrinkable concoction of lemon and a teabag floating glumly in a sea of dark liquid. Or it comes in tall iced glasses at your local Cracker Barrel, sweetened beyond drinkability. Or only British people or the rich and snooty drink it with doilies and fancy mini cakes.
