One of the uremic toxins class that affects mortality and morbidity of petients with
end stage renal disease is a group of low molecular weight peptides and proteins and
inflammatory cytokines (LMWP). Several literatures classify LMWP as middle molecular
weight uremic toxins (middle molecules). These molecules are not perfectly dialyzed
with conventional dialysis technique. Beta-2 microglobulin (β2M) is the most widely
studied molecule, it effect on the body and its association with dialysis-related
amyloidosis (DRA) (Winchester et al, 2003).
