The fractions eluted with MeOH-H2O (100:0 and 2:3 v/v) again subjected to ODS MPLC (medium pressure liquid chromatography) (75%–100% MeOH in H2O) to obtain nine subfractions (SF-1-9). By repeated HPLC steps, compound 1 was obtained in pure form (1.5 mg) from the subfraction SF-2.
