DISCUSSION
This study characterized shoulder strength and agonist/antagonist muscle balance profiles of
the nondominant and dominant upper-limbs of children with BPP and TD.
We found that the impaired shoulder has significantly less strength than the unaffected shoulder
in all directions, especially in extension and external rotation. Children with TD also have evidence of
between-side strength asymmetry, but less than that observed in children with BPP and only involving flexion and abduction.
