The very small probability in part b makes if extremely unlikely that ten of ten divorced couples are “fiery foes.” If this event should actually occur, we should question the probability of .25 provided by the AAMFT and used in the calculation – it is likely to be much higher. (This conclusion is another application of the rare event approach to statistical inference.)
