Zika Virus Disease is an acute infection of a specific
type of virus, called Zika virus. Zika Virus Disease is in
the family or group known as flavivirus, the same family
of viruses that cause Dengue, Yellow fever, West Nile
fever and Japanese Encephalitis. Aedes mosquitoes,
the same type of mosquito that carry Dengue virus,
are the main vector for disease transmission.
