Leaf water content of well watered Chinese kale and Caisin
ranged from 9 to 11 g/g DW (Fig. 2). In well-watered Chinese
kale it was rather steady (10–11 g/g DW) from 5 to 11 days
after the treatment began while the water content of wellwatered
Caisin declined slightly as leaves matured. There was a
difference between the two methods of determining leaf water
content especially in Chinese kale.
