Dear All,
We are pleased to invite you to attend a talk by Professor Nattavudh Powdthavee (Nick) from London School of Economics and University of Melbourne. His talk “The Top 5 Behavioural Principles That Could Potentially Save Your Life” will be about using economic rationales to understand human behaviours. I believe that this is another good source of information for us to understand people.
“This talk is all about finding answers to some questions such as Why do good men cheat and politicians lie?
What explains why most of us can't seem to agree to disagree?
Why do we believe in the predictions of fortune tellers and witchdoctors?
Why do we often prefer to remain miserable than risk being happy?“
Professor Nick is a well-known researcher in this area (Behavioral Economics). He has written many academic and non-academic papers on this topic and has shared his research with a wide audience. In addition, he is an author of a popular economics book “The Happiness Equation: The Surprising Economics of Our Most Valuable Asset.” For more information about Professor Nick, please visit www.powdthavee.co.uk.
