The ServiceNow Change Management module is being updated on Saturday, November 5th, 2016 as part of a series of Internal Audit Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) identified in late 2015.
Please be aware that the module update will make minor changes to the look and feel of the Change Management screens within ServiceNow. Users will notice a reduction in the number of questions they will have to answer to complete a Change Risk Assessment. The updated design was developed, tested and signed off by representatives from all sectors including GCG, ICG, CTI and CTO globally.
This change will improve our process risk and controls framework to help us provide a better service to our clients and streamline change and oversight processes. We also hope you appreciate the reduction in manual effort required to complete a Change Risk Assessment.
Leveraging Automation to Lighten the Burden
The new Change Risk Assessment update will introduce automation to replace manual data entry by change coordinators. This improves accuracy, removes opportunities for duplication and reduces time and effort required by technology teams globally.
The update will introduce a number of other behind-the-scenes enhancements to better prepare us for future changes and developments as we strengthen process controls and ensuring efficiency.
