Energy and nutrient intakes were then calculated using
food composition tables (Ortega et al., 2010a). Particpants’ diets were compared with recommended standards
(Ortega et al., 2010b). Additionally, vitamin D intake was compared with the dietary reference intakes recently
established by the Institute of Medicine (IOM) (Institute
of Medicine of the National Academies, 2010). DIAL
software (Alce Ingenierıa, 2004) was used to process all
dietary data (Ortega et al., 2004).
