Traditional Clothes of Aceh Men (Linto Baro):
Men wear Baje Meukasah or closed neck suits. There is a golden embroidery adorning the shirt’s collar.
This suit comes with trousers called Weasel.
Sarong (Jia Lamgugap) is folded on the waist to be dashing. This sarong is made of silk.
Rencong (dagger) or Siwah is tucked on the belt.
The head is covered with kopiah (traditional cap) popularly called Meukeutop.
Meukeutap is ridden by Tangkulok or Tompok of gold. Tangkulok is made of a woven fabric. Tompok is an 8 star square ornate and is made of precious metals
Traditional Clothes of Aceh Women (Dara Baro):
The woman wears a long-sleeved shirt. The shirt’s collar is unique just like the chinesse shirt’s collar.
Tight pants and patterned sarong (Ija Pinggang ) is folded up to the knee. The pattern in the sarong is embroidered by gold.
Wored jewelry is a necklace called Kula. There are also other embellishments such as: hand bracelet, foot bracelets, earrings, and belts (Pending) gold (coloured).
Hair is pulled up in a bun with a small floral decoration
Although both clothes basically have the same style, but in terms of diversity and the attributes or symbols that are used, there is a difference between the men and women clothes.
