If the same situation were to occur in sows, such
an effect on the transsulfuration pathway would be in
line with the fact that the lowest pHcy across treatments
was observed at the end of lactation in the present study
and in Simard et al. (2007). Therefore, the importance
of the transsulfuration pathway during lactation could
have masked any eventual treatment effect on disposal
of Hcy through the remethylation pathway.
