In a state of sattvic purity, one is able to see through the illusions of everyday saṃsāra as a manifestation of Prakṛti.
This state of realization (ability to differentiate between Prakṛti and Puruṣa) is known as viveka-jñāna.
We thus see the world (Prakṛti) as it really is—in that reality, Puruṣa (the spiritual dimension of things) becomes apparent.
This state of consciousness is possible in our present life, through an ascetic yogic practice.
