“When you meet someone that you really connect to like this, you can’t help but think like how you could change their life,” Kim said on camera. “And I think that looking into adoption would be amazing…I literally cannot stop thinking about her.”
I am sure her birth mother literally cannot stop thinking about her, either. How heartbreaking to have a connection of a mother and child that has to be broken in order for the child to survive.
If you really want to change her life, and you have the money, why not help get rid of the obstacle that keeps her separated from the mother she already has in her life? Don’t get me wrong – I am not against international adoption. I actually adopted an orphan from Ethiopia. But if you have the money and can actually identify a birth parent who only gave up their child because of unimaginable poverty, then how can you choose to adopt rather than support them being reunited?
