I read the reader The Long Road to Lucca, published by Heinle, which is level B1. The Long Road to Lucca is a fast and easy-to-read story. The reader travels with Lizzy, the protagonist of this reader, from London to the little Italian town of Lucca. To fulfil the claim to her aunt's inheritance, she has to travel on her aunt's old bike, "Daisy", without money, which means camping and working in a restaurant and in an orchard. As Lizzy is not only travelling, but also working, on her journey, the book covers a wide range of useful vocabulary. It has a small glossary, six pages of review in the form of exercises, and information on Lucca at the end of the book. Perhaps the level was a bit easy for me, and I found the book a little far-fetched, but I think all in all, it's a nice summer story and fun to read.
