Rice, grown under flooding and saturated conditions shows minimum differences in stomatal conductance, number of tillers and panicles per plant as well as grain yield per plant. Under limited water condition, the most suitable method for rice cultivation was saturated field condition. The cytokinin application on rice grown under saturated condition improved stomatal conductance, number of tiller and panicle as well as grain yield indicating its potential to be used in the cultivation of Malaysian rice variety MR220 especially under limited water condition.
