Two species of marine microalgae ( Chaetoceros spp. and Isochry- sis spp.) were used as oyster
feed,both have proven to be nutritionally appropriate choices for bivalve culture (Brown and Robert, 2002;Espinosaa et al.,2008).Survival rates for the study herein exceeded 99.0% and
growth rates averaged 1.3, 1.1, and 0.33 mm per week for length, width, and thickness, respectively (Fig.2 a–c). Meanwhile, mean oyster mass increased an average of 0.39 g per week
(Fig. 2 d). Data that was not tracked during this study was dry organic tissue weight of oysters. This data would have been useful for accurately tracking the growth of oysters and is
recommended for all future studies of this kind
