Next we will look at some of the existing specialties within the range of different carbonless copy products that we have on the market
CB coating. This is the first carbonless copy sheet, which is coated on the bottom part with the transfer layer. It is made in various weights. There are several varieties of this sheet such as:
CB plus coating. This is a CB sheet which has a conventional coating on the top side for improving the printing quality of this first sheet.
CB OCR (Optical character Recognition) coating. This product has a quality specifically designed for optical reading, and it is one which does not include fluorescent whitening in its composition, which could interfere in the reading with the machines used in these processes. This sheet is presented in 90 g/m2
CFB coating. This is coated on the top part with the cf receptor layer and on the bottom part with the CB transfer layer. It is used as an intermediary sheet when two or more copies are required
CF coating. This is the last carbonless copy sheet and is coated on the top part with the receptor layer.
Unit coating. This is our commercial name for “self-contained carbonless copy”. It is a product which shows the two coating layers on the top side, that is the CB transfer layer and the CF receptor layer. This enables it to be used as a third sheet with a first sheet of normal paper that is without any coating treatment (fig. 11)
