shoots contain an average of 170 mg/kg of cyanogens.
However some findings states that the concentration of
cyanogens in the immature shoot tip of bamboo ranges from
1,000 mg/kg to 8,000 mg/kg of hydrogen cyanide (WHO
report 1993).
