WHS records and reports should be maintained for legal reasons, and also for establishing training needs. The data obtained from the reports enables you to determine where and why the accidents and incidents have occurred. This provides you with the information to take the corrective measures, be it through a change in policy or procedure, and elimination or reduction in the risk a hazard creates, or through corrective training in the way that staff approach their job.
Records should be kept on a range of WHS matters such as: ~ Accidents I incidents; ~ Audits and reviews; ~ First aid assessment; ~ First aid treatment; ~ Permits to work, licences;
