If the analyser (or rather model ) has been certified under MCERTS then the new determinand shall be added to the calibration without invalidating the MCERTS certification for the remaining determinands.A new determinand shall be added to the analysers software following the manufacturers instructions.

Alternatively, rather than using the manufacturers software the user may employ alternative software packages to analyse spectra recorded with the FTIR instrument.
