2.8. Amylase activity
a-Amylase activity was determined, by using the Megazyme
method. Amylase activity is the amount of enzyme activity which,
acting under the conditions of the method, is expressed as U/g dry
ground sample.
2.9. Statistical analysis
All experiments were conducted in triplicate and the results are
expressed as mean ± SD. The statistical examination of the data
was performed, using the SPSS version 11.5 programme. Mean values
of chemical compositions and bioactive compounds, within
different germinated rice, were compared, using an analysis of
the variance (ANOVA) test. These means were compared, using
the Duncan Multiple Range Test and p < 0.05 was applied, in order
to establish significant differences.
