4. Conclusions
This work developed the LPD technique for preparing W6+
doped-TiO2 films to study the effective degradation of DBS under
visible light. The surface analysis indicated thatWwas successfully
doped into the TiO2 film via the LPD process. The absorption wavelength
range and visible light photocatalytic activity of as-prepared
W-TiO2 films were obviously influenced by the amount of doped
W. When the atom ratio of W6+ in the doped TiO2 film reached
5%, the film was effective to absorb visible light and showed sensitive
photoelectrochemical response to the illumination of visible
light. Using the 5% W-TiO2 film, the PEC degradation efficiency of
DBS under visible light illumination could reach 92% after 90-min
treatment. Our work demonstrates that LPD technique is useful for
preparing metal ion-doped TiO2 films for visible light PEC degradation
of organic pollutants.
