5. Conclusions
Vapour–liquid equilibrium data for pseudo-binary systems involving FAME/FAEE from (Jatropha curcas oil + methanol/ethanol) and pseudo-ternary systems involving FAME/FAEE from (Jatropha curcas oil + methanol/ethanol + glycerol/water) were determined within the pressure range of (6.7 to 66.7) kPa using an Othmer-type ebulliometer. All systems evaluated show non-ideal behaviour and positive deviations from Raoult’s law. The binary interactions parameters of the UNIQUAC model were determined, and it is shown that this activity coefficient model is suitable to represent satisfactorily the vapour–liquid equilibrium data of the systems investigated.
