I normally give individual McDonald's stores an automatic "Average" because they are basically all the same. Every once in a while, however, you run into a shop that is either above or below the norm. In this case, I liked this shop and little more than the average McDonald's because of its location and because it offered a decent little McCafé.
We stopped here a couple of times during our stay in Montevideo as we walked through Plaza Constitución fairly often. This McDonald's proved to be a good stop for coffee and ice cream. The seating area for the McCafé was quite nice and there were also outdoor seats available for the nicer weather. The upstairs seating area was a little more standard but provided a good view of the plaza. The Toblerone McFlurries were a nice treat when we needed a sweet. The coffee actually proved to be one of the better options for my beloved drink in a place that was surprisingly and disappointingly bad at making coffee, at least in my estimation (normal Uruguayan coffee other than espresso was just not very good). I will also note that the service at this McDonald's was fairly good.
Hence, for those reasons and for the fact that, as usual, the prices were very reasonably, I give this McD's a thumbs up. It's a good place to stop in Ciudad Vieja if you need a reasonably-priced coffee or ice cream concoction.
