I understand you have been contacted about an upcoming book on the history of Americans in Thailand to be published by EDM books toward the end of this year. I’ve been asked to do the final chapter – covering 1975 to the present and to feature outstanding Americans in a wide range of fields.
I hope you will agree to an interview. I’m not going to waste your time since I must have one of the thickest Heinecke files ever. But I’d like to get a little update of your work in recent years, and more importantly, some of your ideas on how you and other American businessmen have impacted and contributed to Thailand. Would be nice to get together anyway after quite a gap.
I think the book will be a very solid and lasting one – EDM does good work – and might even serve to remind Thais who are not in a very pro-American mood right now of the long-lasting and generally productive relationship between the two countries.
If you have some spare time soon (we’re working on a very tight deadline) that would be great. And if you are inspecting a property or engaged in some other ``action’’ at the same time, that would be even better to give the interview a bit of color.
