7. Be cautious of “car crashes”
there was a story about how a guy was driving through the mountains (ex army) and came across a crash. The car wasn’t damaged at all and almost deliberately placed in the middle of the road. He drove past and saw 2 people lying in the road. He pulls up in front of the “crash” and then looks back to see the people sat up and 20 or so eyes reflecting in his taillights from the surrounding bushes. He slams on the gas and goes. This story scares me because this kind of thing does happen with “mountain tribes” who are either cannibalistic or crazy.
8. This isn’t a story
This is me. I’m here. I’m shifting the words that you’re reading, altering them from whatever this person wrote.
I’ve been here for awhile. For as long as you can remember, anyway. Sometimes I say your name as you’re falling asleep, or whisper urgently in your ear. Do you remember the time that I screamed, throwing panic through you and setting your heart racing?
That was fun.
You’re wondering who I am. That’s only natural. Of course, you already know.
I’m you. I’m the real you. I’m the mind that existed here before you stole my body, before you forgot about being a parasite. I’m the child who looked the wrong way, asked the wrong question, saw the wrong thing… but I’m not so little any more.
You may have forgotten me, but I’m still here. I’ve always been here.
I’m going to get out.
9.
Susan and Ned were driving through a wooded empty section of highway. Lightning flashed, thunder roared, the sky went dark in the torrential downpour.
“We’d better stop,” said Susan.
Ned nodded his head in agreement. He stepped on the brake, and suddenly the car started to slide on the slick pavement. They plunged off the road and slid to a halt at the bottom of an incline.
Pale and shaking, Ned quickly turned to check if Susan was all right. When she nodded, Ned relaxed and looked through the rain soaked windows.
“I’m going to see how bad it is,” he told Susan, and when out into the storm. She saw his blurry figure in the headlight, walking around the front of the car. A moment later, he jumped in beside her, soaking wet.
“The car’s not badly damaged, but we’re wheel-deep in mud,” he said. “I’m going to have to go for help.”
Susan swallowed nervously. There would be no quick rescue here. He told her to turn off the headlights and lock the doors until he returned.
Axe Murder Hollow. Although Ned hadn’t said the name aloud, they both knew what he had been thinking when he told her to lock the car. This was the place where a man had once taken an axe and hacked his wife to death in a jealous rage over an alleged affair. Supposedly, the axe-wielding spirit of the husband continued to haunt this section of the road.
Outside the car, Susan heard a shriek, a loud thump, and a strange gurgling noise. But she couldn’t see anything in the darkness.
Frightened, she shrank down into her seat. She sat in silence for a while, and then she noticed another sound. Bump. Bump. Bump. It was a soft sound, like something being blown by the wind.
Suddenly, the car was illuminated by a bright light. An official sounding voice told her to get out of the car. Ned must have found a police officer. Susan unlocked the door and stepped out of the car. As her eyes adjusted to the bright light, she saw it.
Hanging by his feet from the tree next to the car was the dead body of Ned. His bloody throat had been cut so deeply that he was nearly decapitated. The wind swung his corpse back and forth so that it thumped against the tree. Bump. Bump. Bump.
Susan screamed and ran toward the voice and the light. As she drew close, she realized the light was not coming from a flashlight. Standing there was the glowing figure of a man with a smile on his face and a large, solid, and definitely real axe in his hands. She backed away from the glowing figure until she bumped into the car.
“Playing around when my back was turned,” the ghost whispered, stroking the sharp blade of the axe with his fingers. “You’ve been very naughty.”
The last thing she saw was the glint of the axe blade in the eerie, incandescent light.
10. Schoolgirl Suicide
My name is Abirami. I'm from a famous secondary school in Penang. Most people know that my school is famous for its high achievements in academics and co-curricular activities, but they do not know one thing that we know is happening in our school.
My school is being haunted. It has been 100 years since my school was built. There is a story that has been passed by my teacher who has been teaching there for more than 20 years. The story is that a girl who has been so depressed after her boyfriend left her committed suicide from the clock tower in my school. The clock tower is now closed and no one is allowed to go in. It has been many years that the clock tower is not fixed.
Actually, my friends and I did not believe these stories as we thought it was all not true, but one day it all proved to be true when my friend experienced the existence of the ghost by herself.
It was Teacher's Day celebration so we thought of putting a banner on top of the clock tower. To do so we needed to get in and on top of the clock tower. I let my friend get in first as she is more daring and I followed behind her. At half of the way up the stairs I realized that I left my files downstairs. I went down to get back my files leaving my friend to go alone.
Soon after I heard a scream. I rushed back upstairs and saw my friend laying down unconscious. For a day or two she was not talking to me as usual, then after some time she started to act normal and she told me what happened that day.
As she was going up alone she saw a shady shadow of a figure which seemed like a girl from the corner of her eyes. Suddenly she felt a creepy kind of feeling so she decided to go back down but before that she heard a voice of a girl yelling loudly to her to get out. She was in panic and turn back and saw a scary figure which she will never forget in her life. She screamed in fear and fainted down.
After listening to her I felt lucky that I was not in her place that day. I swear I will never go near that clock tower ever again.
11.The Shadow Behind Me
Many of us know that there is something out there. I had a shadow following me for years. Normally it would never come into full view or reveal itself to me but I have seen it in my peripheral vision - a shadowy figure floating with red eyes. Sometimes I feel its fingers on my neck and other times I hear it speak, it sounds like me but twisted, sometimes it gives me strength but at the cost of my happiness. I want the pain to stop but it does not go can you help me? Do you know what it is?
12. Girl In A White Dress
Hi my name is Giovanny Rivas, growing up as a kid I had one brother and two sisters but we all had different last names. I never paid much attention to that fact. One day out of curiosity I asked my mother why was that so. She looked at me with tears in her eyes, she grabbed me and held me tight. She asked me to please forgive her. I said for what. My mother told me that my real mother had died when I was three years old, and she had found me alone. From that day on she raised me as one of her own. I was 11 years old when she let me know.
I am 19 years old now and have to kids of my own; they are twins. From then til now I had experienced situations I thought only existed in movies or folk tales. I was supposed to die I believe in the situations that I was in. I have no idea what gave me strength to survive or the will.
About three years ago I was racing my friend at night on a scooter and he was on a bike; I was very competitive and always confident. We were racing to my house I was ahead of him from a good distance. As I got to the sidewalk I passed a parked car, out of nowhere four pit bulls and a huge boxer came out from the side of the car. I looked over to my friend for one second but he was at the end of the block screaming "run Gio run" but as I turned back for a split second they charged at me. My reflex reacted and I used my scooter to try to fight them. At one point they had me surrounded; two of the pit bulls were ferociously trying to bite my legs and they were all barking so loud I could not hear myself think what I could do. I tripped and lost grip of the scooter. I swear everything happened so slow as I was falling. I looked over at my friend and I could hear him crying screaming "no!!no!!" Before I hit the ground I saw what was going to happen to me. I could see all the dogs going for my neck. When that flash of sight happened I snapped back into reality. When I was on the ground they started biting my legs. I could actually see my life flashing through my eyes; I could not even feel the pain that was being inflicted on me. The moment came that what I had seen was going to happen. They came at me three at the same time and two on my legs before they were able to finish me of a heard a loud voice in my head telling me to get up because it was not my time, the voice in my head kept telling me get up and fight!! Get up and fight!! I have no idea were I got the energy but I used it. I extended both my arms like hooks in front of me like bait; I'd rather let them bite my arms than my neck. Two were on my arms as I was standing and the other two on my legs. The other one was just barking like crazy to intimidate me. The two on had my arms in a lock with their mouths. I was not thinking just reacting so I swung both my arms as hard as I could and they lost grip but I was also losing blood. I started hitting and punching the two on my legs. This lasted for a period of time of 15 to 20 minutes. They eventually let go but I know the punches I was hitting them with hurt me way more; I felt like I was hitting concrete their heads were so hard. I knew if they dashed for m
