One problem in manufacturing shielding aprons from BaSO4 is the particle packing of barium. Moreover, a critical issue in the manufacture is to mix the barium base with other materials well by minimizing the particle size. For mass production, processes for mixing the same materials and supplying the mixture continuously are essential. One of the measures to evaluate the quality of materials is to examine the Mw to Mn ratio. This study induced particle packing not exceeding 3 using liquid silicon but sticking to a light weight and thin sheet could lead to a mixing process with poor reproducibility.
