The SimBaT model can be adopted as a Decision Support System (DSS) to simulate water resource management scenarios working on historical hydrological data and for multiple water demands.
The system returns information both on the distribution of the deficit at the weekly scale and on the likelihood that the critical events may occur depending on the availability and management of the volume stored in the Montedoglio reservoir.
The simulation algorithm is not strictly related to theories of economic optimization for the exploitation of the resource, but rather aims to facilitate management policies shared amongst various stakeholders in a spirit of solidarity and tolerance in the redistribution of deficit.
