The Mind Zone is the name given to the two central meeting rooms in the O-Zone. She
especially liked the fact that you could see through the windows and walk around them. What
a day! She could now take some peaceful rest at the Dream Zone until her next shift began.
In the survey completed September 2011, employees at the Mandarin Oriental Bangkok
revealed their perceptions of the O-Zone facilities (Figure 1).
A philosophy is born
The O-Zone is a groundbreaking initiative for employees in the luxury hotel industry: it is a ‘‘hotel
within a hotel’’ (Torsten Van Dullemen, Hotel Manager of the Mandarin Oriental Bangkok).
The O-Zone is a brand used exclusively for the Mandarin Oriental Bangkok. The concept can
be integrated into new architectural plans for future hotels of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel
