Cirrus clouds
Cirrus clouds are thin, wispy white clouds. They look like the tail of a horse or a curl of hair. Whan you see cirrus clouds inthe sky,it usually means that stormy weather is on its way. Cirrus clouds are located very high in the sky. They are about 5 to12 kilometers above the ground in the troposphere. Lt is very cold high in the troposphere,so cirrus clouds are made up of tiny icr crystals, not water droplets. A cirrus clouds forms whan cold air moves under an area of warm air. The cold air pushes the warm air higher in the troposphere. The warm air cools, changes into ice crystals, and a cirrus cloud forms.
