The loading of the column was made by the aid of a mechanical vibrator and a vacuum pump. The end of the column was plugged with a small piece of glass wool and was connected to the vacuum pump. Mechanical vibration and manual tap ensured better packing of the stationary phase in the column. The column was shaped in a coiled form in order to be adjusted to the injector's and detector's ports. Prior to measurements, the column was conditioned overnight to the working conditions (temperature and helium flow rate) in order to remove any possible contaminants that could be eluted during measurements. The column characteristics are presented in Table 1.
