Dear Mr. Gehrke,
Dear Ms. Grosse,
it is a pleasure to introduce myself as the new trainee in your house in June 2016.
My name is Cathrin Renken and I am 24 years old.
To give you a better impression about me I would like to give you a short overview of the departments I worked so far.
My very first department was the LCL - Routing Team.
In the Routing Team my primary task was to capture the requests from our agents worldwide, organize the transport of the goods, arrange the carriers booking and hand over the order to our container planner.
Afterwards I started working in the FCL department.
I was responsible for capturing the orders, the arrangement of the transport of the containers and the documentary treatment the B / Ls of various major customers.
The Intermodal department was my third department.
I was responsible for organizing the transportation by truck for all the imports as well as the exports including the transportation in the adjoining neighboring countries of Germany.
Then I gained many important experiences in the marketing and sales department.
Among the rest I was responsible for the tender management, the writing and updating of the rate sheets, calculating and writing offers.
Furthermore I could also get a small insight into the fields of the Key-Account as well as small sub ranges of the marketing.
During my time in Thailand I would like to get to know the colleagues, the culture but also the handling processes within and among the cooperation the overseas companies. All in all I would like to be part of the team and help to solve the quality issues in the LCL-America department.
If it´s possible I would like to visit the harbor in Bangkok, during my time in the Intermodal department I got the chance to visit the Eurogate in Bremerhaven and it would be exciting to me to be able to compare them to eachother.
Especially while working for Leschaco I like the direct and close contact to the customers and also the cooperation with the colleagues worldwide.
Working in a team and being in a permanent exchange with my colleagues and their experiences is also very important to me and makes my development even more valuable.
I like to challenge myself with new areas of responsibility and want to get new insights of Leschaco.
The challenge to develop new strategies and problem solutions with the linking of other fields, aspects and the specialized knowledge of my colleagues is my favorite part of working as a forwarding agent.
To prepare myself for this project I’ll be assigning in the LCL department again to refresh and update my knowledge so I’m able to consult my colleagues and my superior.
I already read a bit about Thailand on several web pages e.g. the federal ministry.
If you´re able to give me some more definite information about the project, it will be a pleasure to concrete my attempts in cooperation with you.
In addition I kindly obtain the details for the exact period of time.
