Relative width (W/L) of the breakwater plays a significant role in wave transmission characteristics, because of
the viscous as well as turbulent dissipation of wave energy as the waves propagate past the breakwater. Figures 3 to
8 show the variation of Kt with W/L.The graphs in Fig. 3.toFig. 7. indicate that as W/L increases, Kt decreases for
Df/d= 0.16 to 036.
