In an effort to reduce distribution costs without
compromising the many services we offer to our
customers, Lufthansa has implemented a formal
CRS/GDS booking policy. The policy is in line with our
industry partners and competitors, and is intended to
defer the increasing costs caused by improper
CRS/GDS booking practices. The purpose of this policy
is not to generate supplemental revenue for Lufthansa,
but instead, to reduce the costs associated with inactive
segments and other booking-related practices which
cause negative inventory consequences. Lufthansa will
monitor all transactions to identify booking abuses and
practices which are not in line with this policy. Lufthansa
reserves the right to assess fees for non-compliance up
to USD 3.50 per segment plus Lufthansa’s standard
service fee of USD 25.00 per occurrence.
