In the same season of last year, ACCEL2015, our 3 year plan was created, and so far we have
reached 1/3 of the milestone of this project. Dear Colleagues, how have you been for the past
1 year? I think there isn’t anybody who feels this was just a recent event or have been an
ongoing matter. In fact, time really flies. As such, reaching year 2015 will also be a timeline
that is within our reach. Same applies to year 2020 for us to reach. Here I would like to talk
about my experience for working in China for the past 2 years. For those who works in China
will be well aware of, but this country is really a fast-changing country. Be it the scenery or
street scene, fluctuations of prices, changes in law and regulations etc, everybody who stays in
such a fast and continuous changing environment, have to keep changing their mindset to keep
up with the pace. Therefore, in order to do business in this country, be it decision making,
organization structure, or even the member, will have to keep up with the change or, maybe
even have to be ahead of the change at all times. Being an upcoming development country,
such a fast-paced change country has always been a hot topic in the business magazines or
newspaper, but I am getting the hands-on experience of it now. With our current Japanese
changing speed, and by maintaining as where we are, we will be outdated in no time. Of
course, we have no intention to go down with the country if it really happens. Instead, we
strive to be in the frontier of our dear country, to develop a strong frontline to excel in a
specific industry and bring back the glory to Japan.
We have announced our company’s direction towards ACCEL2015 last year, and strive to
become Asia’s Big Trading Company. We do not aim to be on par with the big trading company,
but to create a great identity as a Trading company in Asia. I think we have the ability to create
this identity in a specific industry and outshine the big players in Asia. Of course in order to
reach such a platform, it is important that we increase our company’s capacity and port folio,
but at the same time, it is also important for us to establish our existence in the various regions.
In the case of Thailand, will be our Thai Matsuo, Indonesia will be our Indonesia Matsuo, I hope
to achieve a big team that builds up a good reputation, and soon, in the entire Asia region that,
gain recognition from mass volume of people, which our team and members will be proud of
themselves to be part of Matsuo. By then, it won’t be surprising that people around us will
comment “Oh, Matsuo is a company started in Japan”. At the same time, I do not look down on
our current Japan Matsuo. Of course we had a strong 70 years of history and experience to
back up our current Matsuo, but we also strive towards a new Matsuo. In the new Matsuo, we
will remain our Matsuo’s identity. This is our Management Philosophy. Among it, the word
