Marta wants to buy a ticket at the train station in Shanghai. She can speak Chinese but the ticket seller can't understand her. She writes the name of the town she wants to go to and gives it to the ticket seller. He can't read Marta's writing. A young man comes up to Marta. He looks at her writing and says to her, I can help you. He changes one or two things and gives it back to the ticket seller. The ticket seller looks at the paper again and says to the young man, She can't travel on this train. They speak in quiet voices. Marta can't hear the words because it's loud in the station - there are so many people there. At last, the young man turns to her and says, You can go on the five o'clock train tomorrow. Marta smiles and thanks him. She tums to the ticket seller to buy her ticket.
