3. How are the kids' feelings after visiting Taiji, do you have any impressive questions/thoughts/moments (from the kids) to share?
We met two Japanese activist when we were in Taiji and we interviewed them. What we discovered was that the government and media in Japan are keeping this all quiet. No one knows what is going on in Taiji. The activist we met said he did not even know where Taiji was when he read about it on Facebook. he interviews people in the town of Taiji and 80% of the people did not want the dolphin slaughter to continue but no one is willing to stand up to the fishermen. One of the fishermen has stated that his heart was like a bucket and each time he slaughtered dolphins the bucket started to fill up. In the end the bucket was overflowing and he could no longer slaughter them. Slaughtering dolphins had been in his family for three generations. He left Taiji and now runs dolphin tours to see dolphins in the wild instead of killing dolphins.
