Being a member of the audience and sitting close to the stage, I can attest things which viewers of the match cannot see from TV. It was the first time I had watch Buakaw fight and I have never seen a boxer with such great physique. His physical strength or decision making was not affected by the cut he suffered in the first round. In fact, his punches and attacks grew more fierce in the second and final round. His injuries, although apparent, were mere cuts to his skin. On the other hand, Khayal seemed to have suffered more internal / less apparent injuries which may well have been the cause to his pulling out of the final match.
There are many reasons why a boxer would lose a match and it may not always be that he is not as strong or skilled as his opponent. One cannot ignore the fact that various stakeholders' interest may be at play. If one watched the match with the heart instead of just the eyes, then it is apparent who the winner really is.
It is the first time I have watched Buakaw fight and I certainly will continue to cheer him on in his future endeavours and challenges to come.
