The 24 brands chosen for the survey are all German and include the ten most popular in Germany. The samples, bought in the supermarket, are divided into 12 lagers, wheat beers 5 and 7 non-alcoholic beers. The researchers carefully filtered samples, finding in each bottle fragments (12 to 109 per liter), fibers (from 2 to 79 per liter) and granules (from 2 to 66 per liter) of plastic, for the most part transparent but also blue, blacks, greens and yellows.
