This procedure aims to prevent any line stoppage due to business disruption such as emergency, crisis, natural disaster, supplier bankruptcy, transportation problems, problems at ports and labor unrest affecting the supplier operations and delivery of parts to AAT and guideline the action until the business recovery.
Purchasing will coordinate with related departments and work closely with suppliers to ensure that the recovery of AAT operations can be done in the least amount of time and with the least expense.
However, this procedure will not cover purchasing computerized system failures such as WIPS, MIDAS, QAD, etc. Such failure will affect internal Purchasing operations and it will be recovered according to Information System (IS) procedures.
