Role of Electoral Commission of Scotland
our remit includes election to the Scottish Parliament, United Kingdom Parliament and European Parliament. The Scottish Parliament is responsible for Scottish local government elections.
One of our key aims is to ensure that the views of Scottish stakeholders contribute to all aspects of our work. This ensures that distinctive Scottish practices are taken into account and reflected in Commission-wide activities.
We also act as a reference point for elections in Scotland. We are available to answer enquiries and requests for advice from the public and relevant organisations on electoral matters
