Her love of green is partially inspired by nature. Rosenthal was raised by her grandparents in a log cabin in Nova Scotia, Canada, where she often painted pictures of her lush natural surroundings. However when she moved to New York City and built a career as a textile artist and as a designer, Rosenthal missed the green landscape of Nova Scotia. "I had to make more green, because there wasn't enough here," she said. Now Rosenthal is surrounded by green, not just on her body and inside her home, but in her large backyard, where she grows tomatoes, eggplants, herbs, and figs.
